Very comfortable motel! Well worth the price. My room was immaculate, recently updated, and very clean. The lovely couple that own this business are really attentive to detail, always on site and willing to help in any way they can.

I was in Kaikohe to cycle the Twin Coast Trail. This was the perfect spot to spend the night while doing the entire trail! I had my own bike, but I did notice the bikes they had for hire were top notch, as well as their vans and bike trailers.

We have never experienced the excellent level of service we received from our hosts at Twin Coast Adventures – they went far further than the extra mile. Tina, Shane and their team were friendly and helpful. When a section of the cycle track closed temporarily, they expressed their concern about the alternative route and, at no extra cost, shuttled our cyclists around the affected area (an extra trip specifically for that). When they saw our group wanted to spend time together, they provided their conference room for us to do so.

The rooms were newly refurbished and very comfortable. We’d definitely return there. We highly recommend Twin Coast Adventures.

We enjoyed our three nights at Twin Coast Motel. The motel is well designed for a two couple stay. It is well presented with quality linen, whiteware and utensils. Megan, our host, was warm, friendly and very can do.

Best stay in Kaikohe! The staff were amazing, we were looked after extremely well beautiful two bedroom apartment fully refurbished, quiet, comfy bed, great kitchen, within walking distance of all the shops. Even enjoyed swim at hot pools nearby.

The e-bikes were great. Very new and easy to ride. Thanks to Shane for the fantastic service – we are spreading the word. The Twin Coast trail is very diverse and we enjoyed the short trip by train on the first day.

I have just done the Twin Coast Cycle Trail and hired a bike through Twin Coast Adventures in Kaikohe. I can really recommend them, their service and their bikes. Shane and John provided me with an e-bike that was perfect for me. And they arranged shuttle pick up at the end of both trails. Nothing was too much trouble and it meant that I was able to thoroughly enjoy my experience on the Twin Coast Trails.

I really enjoyed my day of cycling and this was a very convenient place to lay my head after 70kms return to Kawakawa on a 30+ degree day. Everything you could need, including a fan, cutlery, hot shower and comfy bed. My car was safe in the locked up compound and the guys were very helpful with suggestions for dinner.

A group of nine road the twin coast cycleway and were looked after by Twin Coast adventures. We stayed three nights in the motel and Shane provided shuttle services for both the Opua to Kaikohe and the Horeke to Kaikohe after each days cycle.

Really good service and the motel units were ideal for our needs. We were there for 3 nights and the units were clean and comfortable. Thanks Shane!

Thank you to Jade and Shane Makiri for looking after us so well. Right from the time we made initial enquiries, nothing was too much trouble for them and all the planning turned out just perfectly. We started by staying the night in their motel at Kaikohe and cycling the next day to Horeke (staying at the Horeke Tavern). Next day we shuttled back up to Kaikohe, rode down to Opua, shuttled back to Kaikohe and stayed the night again at their motel, where our car was being looked after safely. Doing it this way meant that the two days of riding were not onerous at all, just really enjoyable.

The bikes were great, and their shuttle service that we had organised proved to be perfect.

Only a few minutes walk to plenty of eateries/takeaways, The Warehouse, Countdown and New World. Fridges in all units and instead of the pathetic little ice boxes these ones are a proper mini fridge freezer, so you can have frozen items that will stay frozen!

If you want a good nights sleep in Kaikohe, stay here. Don’t know what brand the beds are but they are very good quality, like sleeping on a cloud!
